Meet The Family

Ed & Esther Parrish

Ed & Esther Parrish started Dean & Don's in 1967. It started as a roadside market off Aberdeen Road in Hampton where their sons, Dean & Don, sold cantelopes and other items grown on their Edenton, NC farm. They would be dropped off daily to sell what they harvested for the day. That humble beginning has grown into the family business that has served the peninsula for over 50 years!

Ed & Esther Parrish

Dean, Ed & Esther's son, along with his wife Connie and their son Ryan, own and operate the farm market. Dean is the company's produce broker. Dean buys produce from farmers from Florida to South Carolina. Connie is the company's office manager, human resources manager, and grocery manager.

Brandon

Ryan, Dean & Connie's oldest son, is third generation working in the family business. In addition to running the daily operations of the market, he runs the wholesale and Christmas tree businesses. He also assists Dean with buying. Ryan works with farmers from South Carolina north.

Brandon

Brandon, Dean & Connie's middle son, is the retail produce manager.

Wanda, Ed & Esther's daughter, along with her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law David, own and operate Dean & Don's garden center.
